The founder of The Beacon Clinic, Rosalind Townsend, is an inspirational psychotherapist who has helped many hundreds of individuals move forward from periods of difficulty in their life. With extensive experience working with all forms of emotional distress including anxiety, depression, trauma, domestic abuse, and with neurodivergent clients, Ros always strives to ensure that alongside specific work carried out during appointments, clients have a firm foundation of understanding and a set of tools to continue to maintain their own emotional health proactively in the future.

She has a special interest in working with trauma and is the author of the widely recommended PTSD: Understanding and Recovery, and Why Three Fs? (a more general guide to emotional wellbeing)  – both of which can be purchased through the links on this website.

 

Marnie Jeal   

We are delighted to have a new trainee psychotherapist working with us at the Beacon Clinic, in order to be able to offer a low-cost therapy option for clients. Working out of therapy rooms in Helston and Falmouth, Marnie is in the final stage phase of practice before full qualification and can work with a wide range of presentations in the mild to moderate range, including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, work or occupational stress, grief, addiction, phobic responses, single-incident adult trauma and challenging life-events or changes. 

She holds DBS clearance, is fully insured and registered, and passed the last phase of her training with distinction.

Marnie is a warm and approachable practitioner, with a genuine interest in those who she works with. She is meticulous in her approach to practice, providing an efficient and caring service to those who come to her for support.
